PLUNKET SHIELD RULES.

REVISION WANTED. (Per Press Association - .) DUNEDIN, March 8. The New Zealand Cricket Council asked the Otago Association to express an opinion concerning the council’s action ill allowing the Otago-Wellington match to be abandoned. The association has decided to reply that it considered that the council acted wisely in the circumstances, hut it was of opinion that the rules governing the PTunket Shield competitions should be revised, so that provision could he made for such a contingency as arose. In its reply to the council, the association expresses the opinion that the eight-ball over is a decided improvement, and worked most satisfactorily.
