FRENCH PRESS OPINION. j Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. ! (Received January 18. 9.15 a.m.) j PARTS. January 17. Le Matin ” warns TTerlin of the consequences of its attitude, recalling j the fact that 10.000.000 Germans in j the Rhineland and the Ruhr are eco- i nominally independent of the rest of I
Germany, and pointing out that a soliG tion can he found by 'organising the Rhineland and Ruhr areas into a buffer State under international control, from which the Allies can obtain reparation payments without affecting the prosperity of these regions. The “ Echo National ” says: ” Unless Germany yields.
