ELDERLY MAN DROWNED. 'Pm Pkkm AsftocxATiow.) WELLINGTON. December 20. Yesterday afternoon a youth who was walking along the foreshore beyond the Tborndon breastwork observed some clothes lying near the water. Ijooking round to see if lie could discover the Owner, he saw a body floating in the water. He reported the matter to CapLain Watson, of the Mararoa. who obtained a boat and with the assistance of another man brought the body to chore. Artificial respiration was kept up for some time, hut without avail. T'W deceased, who is an elderly man. was identified as George Taylor, residing Rt 83. Constable Street. lie had been out of work for some time. RAILWAY FATALITY ( r T:r Press Association.) LEVIN.
