A wireless development full of possibilities was foreshadowed at Sheffield by Mr F. Lloyd, a local authority on wireless telephony. In an address to the City Rotary Club he predicted that wireless, in tile not distant future, would mak© the thoughts of others as perceptible to our senses as speech. Thought was a conscious act accompanied by tangible manifestatjpns of energy* B ad sufficiently delicate in • Struments, those manifestations should not be more elusive than sound. Sir William Crookes had recognised this force, describing it as a form of wave motion, closely akin to that form now known as wireless waves. Science had successively segregated and analysed, various forms of wave motions, recognised as light, heat, sound, and so forth, each successive step making the next step certain. The last successful step was the discovery and subjugation of wireless wares. The next step, ha submitted, was inevitable.
