LABOUR AND PROHIBITION.
TO THU EDITOR.. ■Sir, - May I venture to ask through your columns for some enlightenment regarding the divergence of opinions existing between Prohibition and I.abcur - Labour candidates state that Piohibition is not a plank of their plat, form, yet some vote Prohibition. , The policy of Labour supports all local industries, advocates new works and ah advancements preventing unemploymerit to th© worker. Now the inconsistency of the whole situation is that Labour candidates vote Prohibition and if Prohibition is carried this election the issue will throw out thousands of emploved, some skilled in one particular branch of industry. without the remotest chance of re-engagement. This to my mind is ridiculous. The Labour platform advocates no unemployment, their candidates vote and advocate Prohibition. J am ,etc., SANE LABOUR.
