THE MAKURA SAILS.

SYDNEY, December 2. • Passengers numbering 400 were conveyed to the Makura by ferries, which also took a large consignment of mails. The departure was effected without a hitch. The Union Company has not so far discussed the question of manning the other idle steamers with volunteer labour.
