AVON RUMOURS.
BbV-My Attention has boon called to frequent statements appearing in your papers to the effect that certain rumours are in circulation detrimental to the personal character of Mr D. G. Sullivan. May I be permitted on behalf of Lieutenant-Colonel A. E. Loach and my committee to disassociate ourselves entirely from such underhand methods of procedure. Whatever opiru icna the opponents of Reform may hold Concerning their political views tnej cannot otherwise than state that Colonel Loach has all through the campaign fought a dean and fair fight and has strictly avoided personalities, and this X am satisfied Mr Sullivan will fully endorse. Colonel Loach has both publicly and privately spoken well of his political opponents, and is a man of the highest altruistic spirit.—l am, eto., ALFRED R. RAGO, Chairman Avon Reform Committee.
