MISSING HUSBAND ARRESTED.

A tragedy that occured over nine mouths ago at Clifton. Sumner, in re-

called by tlie arrest of Wm. Theodors Thompson, alias JO. T. Scott, at Auckland. the husband of a woman who was found asphyxiated at Sumner with her daughter. The police at Christchurch this morn ing received a telegram stating that Thompson had been arrested on a war rant issued at Wharigarei.
