FIGHTING IN BAVARIA. By Telegraph— Pros* Asaociation— Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. AMSTERDAM. November 8. There is alarming news, from Bava ria regarding the rapid development of the Fascist movement. Fierce fighting took place at Munich between the .Fascisti and Socialists, in which the Socialists were beaten. Seven companies of well armed Fasc-isti have left the Tyrol. The Socialists have decided to recruit storming detachments, under military command, to combat the Fascisti and to defend the Socialist newspaper offices and trade unions. Tt is believed that the Faseisti move inent in Bavaria’ has for its objective the restoration of the monarchy. The dynasty was deposed on November 22. 1918. and Bavaria was declared a republic. The supreme power at present lies with the people. The state of par ties in the Bavarian National Constituent Assembly (elected in June, 1920; was as follows: —Bavarian People’s Party. 65: Majority Socialists, 25; German Democrats 12; Peasants’ Union, 12- National Liberals. 19; Independent Socialists. 20: Communists, 2.
