STRIKE-INJUNCTION.

COURT MAKES MODIFICATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK, September 23. The Federal Court at Chicago granted a temporary injunction replacing the restraining order granted to Mr Dougherty against the railway strikers with modifications allowing unions to use their funds for sick benefits and cases of necessity. also permitting meetings of unionists when there is no conspiracy to obstruct inter-State commerce. It now appears that if the Government wishes a permanent injunction it will have to ask for another hearing and call witnesses to substantiate the charges against strikers.
