SILVER WEDDING.
On September 15 Air and Airs AV. G. Chapman entertained a number of friends at their residence, 50, AYi liter’s Road, Papanui. on the occasion ot tlieir silver wedding. Gamds, songs and musical iteni6 were proceeded with in the drawing room, which was decorated with flowers and pot plants. Supper was served in the dining room, the tables being decorated with choice bulbs. The silver wedding cake was decked with the flowers which were on the wedding cake twenty-five years ago. Another striking feature was that one of Airs Chapman’s bridesmaids was present at the silver wedi ding. All* Sandford proposed the health of Air and Mrs Chapman, trusting that they would both be spared to celebrate their golden wedding. Those present were:—Mr and Airs Russell Air and Airs S has key, Air and Airs Harding, Air and Airs Jones. Air ; and Airs Barker, Mr and Airs Sandford, Air and Airs Wray, Mesdames Duckworth, Calvert, Bachelor, M’Kay, Aliss Alillar and Miss L. Smith ; Alessrs , R. Thomson. R. G. Thomson. Sutton, R. Chapman, A. Shaskey and C. Shaskey. On Saturday evening Mr and Airs Chapman entertained a large number of young people, who spent a very happy time.
