DANCE.

$ Last evening in the Town Hall, Sumner, the fourth entertainment in connection with the School Picnio Fund took place, in the form of a dance. The hall was beautifully decorated with streamers of dark blue and i pale blue, the school colours, and the 1 lights were all shaded with blue. ' Bunches of greenery adorned the walls, and hung suspended over the table in 5 the supper room where a bountiful ! supper was spread on a table decorated ' with vases of spring flowers and green- ■ ery. The supper arrangements were in - the hands of Alesdames Aratthcws, • Barber, Alexander, and Withers. AlesL dames Pye, Barber, Neville and Aliss L Ellie Aburn were responsible foF the 1 decorations. Alessrs Keig and Griffiths 1 supplied the music. During the evenl ing Mr G. A. Alexander thanked , everybody for their support and at- ■ tendance, and expressed the thanks of * the committee to the ladies who had i attended to the decorations and the - dispensing of the supper. At the re--1 quest of many parents and children ’ the committee is considering holding - another children’s fancy dress ball, as ? the last one was such a. success. A e waltzing competition was won by Aliss ? Lawson and Air Richards.
