TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —As one who has some regard for the dignity of woman, I hope the craze of pipe smoking among women which is being reported from other parts will not spread to New Zealand. They have already gone far enough in the ciragette line, because I believe, to take the least view of the subject, that such habits must be injurious physically to women and cannot be regarded as particularly edifying among the sex. — I am, etc., SMOKE BARRAGE.
