The Chief Justice, in giving .judgment, in the Lippe will case, disallowed the claims of the husband, who is a mountain guide in New Zealand. Three-fourths of the estate goes to Mrs Lippe’s housekeeper. A Sydney message dated July 17, 1921, stated that the mangled body of Mrs Lippe was found at the foot of the South Head “ Gap.” The deceased was a* Victorian society woman, separated from her husband, who was described as a New Zealand guide, living in the Dominion. She left a will deeding property valued at £IO,OOO to a young man named Malista Smith, with whom she was associated in the musical world. On April 7 last it was reported that an application had l een lodged for the probate of a draft copy of a will made by Mrs Lippe in February, 1922. 'Flue executors declared that the later will, under which Lippe was the sole beneficiary, was invalid. A caveat against the probate was lodged on behalf of the husband. In the Practice Court, Melbourne, on May 6, Mr Justice Schutt ordered the discovery of certain letters to which the executors referred.
