On Saturday evening the Aliases Poppy and Rhoda Munro were hostesses at a delightful little dance at their home in Opawa. Dancing took place ill the dining-room, which was gaily decorated with early spring flowers. Their guests included the Misses Pauline East, N. Hooper. Gwen and Joan Sorensen, Alarjorie Roach (Sydney), Teasa Reading, Gladys Lorimer. Messrs L. Wyles, H. Ronaldson. B. Wyles, L Le Craft, C. Seab-Gawing. M Bachelor, D. B. Hart. IT. Sinclair. A K. Johnson and E. Munro. Air and Airs C. A. AJyrhe, “ Matangi,” Rossall Street. Fendalton, gave a dance on Saturday night for their three sons and their young friends. Airs Alyrhe received her guests wearing a charming gown of wine-coloured taffeta. Amongst those who danced to Aiiss MacDonald's excellent music were Aliases S. and L. Scales. Grant (3), Clark, Dodds, Rain©, Gordl&nd, J. and N. Baker, Marshall, Hamilton, Messrs Baker, Martin. Newton. Moon, Jamieson, Mitchell, Watkins, Alarshall, Rickies, Shepherd, Lo Alaistre and Joyce. A euchre party and dance under thennspic -! of the Aranui Burgesses’ Aseociation w as held in the Aranui Schoolroom on Saturday. Messrs A. NankiveH and C. H. Ashton were M.C.’s and music was supplied by Mr and Airs F. Lines. Euchre i>riEe» were won by All s f. Brooke-Taylor. Miefc J. Henderson, Mr W. White and*Air F. Tggo. Prizes for the grand euchre tournament, which were won by R. V. Nankivell afld Mi« J. Rorner, were also presented. Mesdames Newman and Loach were in charge of the supper. Dancing, which was indulged in until a late hour, brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
Air and Al'rs J. Cracroft-Wilson entertained a large party of friends at a most enjoyable dance on Saturday evening. The hostess wore a beautiful draped gown of black chiffon velvet and Brussels lace : Miss Cracroft-Wilson wore blue taffeta, had a gracefully dress, while her sister’s charming frock, also of blue taffeta, had a gracefully draped skirt showing a lace underskirt.
