The Canterbury Progress League decided last evening to call a conference of local bodies and motor authorities for the purpose of discussing the Main Highways Bill, which is to come before j Parliament. Mr Glackii, j who was greeted with Joud applause i thanked the donors for their kind gift ! and paid a high tribute to the keenness 4 and pluck of the bovs in tackling the surf work.
