(Sydney, JVlay 22, 1.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 22 The central branch of the Australian Workers’ Union has issued a statement that the Union has always favoured arbitration, but that, when so obviously nn unjust award is given as that of Mr Justce Powers for shearers, it is doubtful if its members will continue their present policy. BUSH WORKERS’ WAGES. At a meeting of bush workers a re solution was passed in favour of the Brisbane award of 1921, and opposed to the reductions suggested by Mr Justice Powers. Steps will shortly he taken to devise means for resisting the latter.
