EASTER TRAFFIC.
TRAMWAY RECEIPTS. Mr S. A. Staples (chairman of the Tramway Board) announced at yesterday’s meeting of the board that the receipts from Easter cash fare tickets were £2OO loss this year than in the previous year. There was fine weather on both occasions.
SURPLUS ON YEAR’S OPERATIONS. The.“ Lyttelton Times” and “Star” will not he published on Tuesday next. Anzac Day. The Works and Traffic Committee reported to the board yesterday that the surplus on the operations for the year ended March 31 last was £5781, compared with onlv £.886 for tho vear ended March 31. 1921.
