AN EXPLANATION.

TO THIS EDITOR # Sir. Alight I reply to Mrs Moulin’s letter? T was informed that the lad was affected as stated, and that was tho reason for mv presence in the ring during the third round of the bout. I was in the ring purely for the protection of the lad owing to his supposed affliction. Quite a number of spectators resented my presence in tho ring. On the completion of the bout previous to declaring the lad the winner, l explained that it was for his protection that I remained in the ring. No insult or offence- was offered or intended towards Moulin by myself or any member of our club. Mr Moulin and his good friends are in error if they state that they approached me to retract the remarks. No person lias mentioned the matter to me since the bout. My committee also state that no person approached them in reference- to the lad.—l am, etc. THOS. E. ROBSON. Christchurch, April 20.
