RICHMOND CARNIVAL. ! The Richmond Swimming Club held their inter-club carnival at the school baths this afternoon in ideal weather. There was a good attendance o.f spectators. Results ;—• CLUB DASH 25TDS HANDICAP—Graham 1. Allan 2, Alderstey 3. 'Time—l7sec. HARRIS CUP. East Christchurch (Cameron, Floyd, A. Dalton, N. S. Batchelor, C. Atkinson) 1 United ... .... 2 Opawa also started. Time— 2min 44 4 ssec. The event for this much-coveted trophy was tho event of the programme. Three teams faced the starter—East Christchurch. Opawa, and United. United gained slightly the best of the start, the three teams keeping on even terms up to 150 yards. Batchelor. East Christchurch’s fourth man to swim, gained a slight load, and Atkinson hit the voter about one yard and a half in frmt of Wheeley.
