District Attorney Brady repeated the challenge to the defence to put Arbuckle on the witness stand. The defence has not yet decided whether to accept. The Courtroom was filled with welldressed bejewelled women. Three men and one woman were temporarily accepted for jury duty at the end of the day. following bitter wrangling and charges and counterchurges by the defence and prosecution. One old Venireman, who was examined for an hour and a half, took an active part in the discussions, which the judge restrained with difficulty.
