BUILDING RETURNS.

Reports presented to the C/tv Council last evening showed that fourteen more building permits were issued in October, 1921, than in October, 1920. In the seven months of 1921, beginning April 1 and ending October 31, the number of permits issued was 411. valued at £313,312. In the corresponding period of 1920, the number of permits issued was 387, valued at £302.807. As will be seen from the following tables, there has been marked building activity m Linwood, St Albans nnd Sydenham.
