Lepinsky, the Saxon Minister of the Interior, addressing the Diet, said that aeveral notorious anti-Republican organisations existed in Saxony, financed by Saxon industrialists to promote a conservative. pan-German Government. One organisation, known as ” The Brethren of the Rock," was operating in Eastern Saxony, and another, called ' The Hohenaollern Knighthood,” existed in Leipzig. The authorities had confiscated 700,000 marks. collected by the organisations whose functions included a fighting organisa- 1 tion and a court to punish and even kill those obstructing their work.
