The coroner’s verdict in connection with the Streathnm tragedy was that Coates murderijd the other three .and committed Hniicfme himself. Coates’s letter to hi? brother said: *• Things are dead against me. I have no alternative, I am without funds, which were spent; in litigation. There is nothing hut to put an end to it. I am taking them with me. Ido it not in spite, but, love.”
