An electric storm, accompanied by terrific wind, caused extensive damage in the city. There were many capsizes on tho Swan River. One yacht, with five persons aboard, attempted to make the shore. Tho chain ballast shifted and tho craft capsized and sank. Dorothy Barker and Nellie Barker, sisters, and Leslie Mad docks, owner of tb© boat, were drowned.
