FIRE ON STEAMER.

COMPLETELY EXTINGUISHED.

By TeTesrapli—Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received September 28, 11.40 a.m.) CAPE TOWN, September 27. The fire on the steamer Port Augusta has been completely extinguished. The coal and a portion of the cargo are being unloaded.

On September 20 the Port Augusta was reported to lie on lire off the West African coast, north of Cape Town. She was bound from New York to Fremantle A later message intimated that ebe had reached Cape Town.
