A social gathering of City and Suburban Association cricketers was held in the Carlton Cafe last evening to bid farewell to Mr P. Y» Velvin, honorary treasurer of the asscciatiou, who 's leaving the district- In presenting Mr Velvin -with a gold watch and chain the president, Mr G„ Duggan, paid a tribute to the good work done by Mr Velvin during the past two seasons.
