ALICE PARKINSON.

TO BE RELEASED. £Per Press Association.l WELLINGTON, August 26. The Hon E. P. Leo, Minister of Justice, states that it has been decided to release Alice Parkinson, sentenced to life imprisonment for manslaughter at Napier. The Prisons Board considered tho case in February under legislation passed by Parliament, and decided to defer a decision until it had an opportunity of going further into the case. The board then resolved to recommend the Governor-General to release the woman on probationary conditions. The recommendation has been approved by the Governor-General.
