♦ CROSS-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 20. The weather was fine fox- the New Zealand Cross-Country Championship held at the Hutt Park to-day. Three team*, representing- Otago, Canterbury and Wellington. competed, the result being: Wellington i? points, 1; Otago, 33 points, 2; Canterbury, 61 points, 3. H. Moore (Wellington) came in first, followed by D. Todd and A. Barclay (also cl Wellington). The tima -was 32min 6aec. Moore takes the individual championship gold medal. Canterbury and Otago say that the course was heavy. Frye (Otago), last, year's individual winner, came in fourth In the big race Moore kept the lead for the last mile and a half, and wen easily by thirty vards. Teams’ Race— Wellington (Moore 1, S.
