1 MATCH NEXT SATURDAY, A FEW CHANCES. The Canterbury fifteen to meet South Canterbury next Saturday at Lancaster Park lias been selected as follows by the Canterbury selectors (Messrs H. M. Taylor, W. Maxwell and C. Evans); — Full-back—W. L. Henry. Three-quarters —H. Dailey, J- M’Cormick, W. A. Ford. Five-eighths—.R. Evans and D. M’Cormick. Half—G. Burson. Forwards—N. Carnegie (wing), J. Ellis, H. Munro, C. R. Murray, K. Henderson (lock), L. Petersen, K. Cummings and W. Cummings. _ Emergencies:—Backs G. R- Wilson and H. Mullins; forwards—J. Campbell and O. Turpin. The team will assemble for practice on the training ground at 7.30 to-mor-row evening. Members are requested to bring their Canterbury jerseys for the match on Saturday.

C. E. Evans, full-back for the New Zealand team on September 3, was not available for selection, and C. S. Orchard was not sufficiently recovered from his Wellington injury to play in tho match. The forwards are the same pack that beat the Springboks; but changes have taken place in th© backs, where Wilson anci 11. Mullins are standing clown as emergencies, and Deans is out. The team is a slightly weaker back team, especially in tho absence of O. E. Evans from th© full-back position .
