QUESTION OF PRIVILEGE. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 3. In a reserved judgment Mr Justice Salmond decided that an employee in any banking or mercantile institution is not entitled to any benefits from the provident fund or to any contributions thereto if it is shown that his service would be severed prior to the date when the superannuation automatically operates. Neither is an employee, when severing his connection with such an institution, ill lieu of notice, to other emolument than a percentage of actual wages.
