THE LAND TAX.
CONFLICTING ACTS. f Pep. Press Association.! AUCKLAND, June 29. Attention is drawn to the fact that, iri the preliminary notices issued by the Commissioner of Taxes, under the Land Tax Act, the supertax is stated to ho thirty-three and a third per cent, whereas the Finance Act of last session prescribes the same rate as under the Act of 1920, namely 50 per cent. The question is raised as to what statutory authority exists for the alteration.
