ROLL OF HONOUR UNVEILED.
LOYAL PHILLIPSTOWN LODGE. A very successful and well-attended gathering took place at the lodge room of the Loyal ‘ Phillipstown. Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U , on Tuesday in connection with the forty-second anniversary of the lodge. Instead of the usual social gathering a Roll of Honour erected to the memory of those members who had paid the supreme sacrifice in the Great War, also those members who went to the front to fight for King, country and home, was unveiled. Tho honours board is a beautiful work of art, designed and made by Mr Wilkinson, entirely of jarrah timber, the writing being done by Air A. « Johns. N.G. Brother J. T. Houghton presided. Brother AY. 11 Gahagan, Worthy Deputy G.M. of the New Zealand branch, in unveiling the honours board, made sympathetic reference to those members who had made the supreme sacrifice and suitably acknowthe splendid services of tho3© members who had so nobly assisted in conquering the foe.
The names on the board are as follow:—In memoriam.—Brothers J. H. Cleworth, R. Houghton and J. AI. Turner. Those who went to the front but returned. —C. Braddell, I*. A Clark, E. W. Collins, J. C. Osdenhead, D. C. Duns, li. H. Duncan, H. H. Hill, J. E. Holt, P A. Jackson, F. R. Jackson, E. W. Moree, H. H. Eteaby, J. J. Sutherland, H. O. Sutherland, W. G. Sinclair and W. Wfckeling. Appropriate speeches were also made by Drs A J. Orchard, J. P. Whetter and J. C. Pairman and by Brother L. P. Longuet, P.P.GAL, Brother T. A. Grose, P.G., and Sqpreiiiry Brother J. Cleworth, P.P.G.M.
