FOUND HANGED. Edward Charles Hannon, a labourer, aged twenty-seven, who has been going under the name of Charles Francis, was found hanged in his whare at Tai Tapu last night. He died on the way to the Hospital. FOUND DEAD. MASTERTON, April 26. J. Finlayson, twenty-three years of age, was found dead on the roadside • t Mauriceville. It is surmised that death was the result of heart failure. Deceased wrR employed as country salesman of a Masterton firm. He had been only a short time out from Scotland. DEATH UNDER ANESTHETIC. DUNEDIN, April 26. Edward O’Neill, seven years of age, w r as being given an anaesthetic at Dun- ! odin Hospital to night for a minor i operation. He collapsed and | died. His parents reside near Hindon. , INQUEST ADJOURNED. DUNEDIN, April 26. Annabella M’Kechnie, single, aged twenty-eight, died in the Hospital to- ! day. Evidence at the inquest showed j that she had been very depressed lately. A half-empty bottle of an irritant disinfectant was found in her room after her removal to the Hospital. The inquest was adjourned for a postmortem examination. SUDDEN DEATH. DUNEDIN, April 26. As ft horse drawing a cart loaded with metal was proceeding through a ! city street to-dav it was noticed that • the driver had apparently collapsed on top of his load. The horse was stopped and investigation showed that the man was dead. The bodv was taken to the morgue, and later it was ascertained that deceased’s name was John Pearce, and that he had resided at Neville Street, Caversham. He was about, seventy years of age and bad been carting for the same employer for a number of years. * At the inquest a. verdict of death from natural causes was returned.
