E., formerly of the Q.AI.A.A.C.. who set a splendid j example to her fellow.workers by returning to domestic work after demobilisation. declares that she is one of tho happiest cook-generals in England. The wonder-servant, whoso good temper anrl cheerful disposition have won for her the golden opinion of her employer, is engaged at Shifnal vicarage by tho Rev T. Swinburne, a member of the poet Swinburne's family. •• T am sure that they only gave mo the 0.8. E. because I stuck to mv job.” she said. “I was so surprised when ono day 1 received a. letter saying T was to receive the honour ‘for valuable war-timo services.’ T was glad to come back to domestic work when T was demobilised. I cannot think why -o many girls object to it. Life in a, home seems to me to be the happiest of all, and I mean to stick to it.”
