THE METROPOLITAN MARKET. TO-DAY’S SALE, There were good y&rdiiigs in most departments at the metropolitan weekly market at Addington to-day. The demand for store Bheep wag not very keen, but fat lambs sola fairly well, notwithstanding the big entry. The beef sale opened with a brighter tone, there being a smaller yarding. FAT CATTLE. The sate commenced more briskly, there being an entry of 388, as against 346 lasi week. There was, as usual, a fair proportion of unfinished stuff. The yarding of lambs was the largest for some time, being 5310, 1100 more than last week. Freezers competed somewhat more keenly, with the result that prices hardened. Borne lambs touched 6d per lb, but some exceptionally prime butchers' lambs sold et less than that figur®. Values were : «•, Extra prime lambs, to 225. Prime lambs, 18s 6d to 20s sd.
