MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of &ie executive of the North Canterbury Farmers’ Union was held to-day; present—Mr W. A. Banks (chairman), Messrs D. Jones, M.P. S W. J. Henley, J. T. Henley, D. Bates, W. Mulholland, W. Bailey and G. Sheat. It was agreed to hold a general discussion on tariff revision at the next monthly meeting. Referring to the reported increases in freights on frozen meat, Mr Banks said that district members of Parliament had been asked to cring their influence to bear on Mr Massey to inquire why increased freights should be charged.—Action approvied.
