CARPENTIER’S RETURN.
TUMULTUOUS SCENES. LONDON, November ’ 14. A message from Paris states that the arrival of Georges Carpontior (the French boxer) , from America was characterised by tumultuous scenes. An enormous crowd 'at St Lazaire Station seized tho champion aud carried him off amid deafening cheers. The demonstrators practically took possession of the station, and the train 1 service was temporarily disorganised.
