BIG WILLIAMSON ATTRACTION.

“BING BOYS ON BROADWAY.” The box plans for the big J. G. Williamson revusical musical comedy, “ The Bing Boys, on BroadWy,’’ to'bo seen ror the first time here on Wednesday next, will be opened at the Bristol on Monday morning next. This is an enfcirely frosli production, having no connection whatever with “The Bing Boys are Here,” which previously toured New Zealand. As the title suggests, the locale is New York, and other places in America. The play will introduce here Miss Jennie Hartley (who Plays the Duchess of Dullwater), an English comedienne without rival today. It will also serve to re-intro-duce an old favourite in Mr Phil Smith, who with Mr Reginald Roberts is seen to exceptional advantage. Of the “Bing Boys on Broadway ” the Auckland “Star” writes as follows:—“It is one of those typical modern productions which observe no rules except the cardinal one that people go to the theatre to be amused and pleased. Bright people who throw a zest into their work, brilliant dresses, music that you try to whistle as you leave the theatre, and some very effective scenes') make up a three hours’ entertainment that you would he quite willing to see twice, and that is & great deal more than one can say for the average show that cornea round now-a-days. Labelled a revue, the piece is reail’ r a musical comedy, with the plot constructed on the lines of pantomime ” The piece will be interpreted by an exceptionally fine cast, prominent amongst which figure Misses Maggie Dickinson, Gwen Burroughs, Maie Baird, Phyllis Amery, and Messrs Gus Bluett, Herbert Walton, Harry Paulton and Sydney Culver. Miss Edith Dray son, a well-known English artist, will also make her first appearance.' There are over 150 people in the production, which for extensive detail and lavish costuming is said to rival any Williamson pantomime production.
