At 700 yds, M’Cal.ey (Victoria) scored 92. Sluart (Victoria) is leading with 189. Richardson, and Marsden (South Sydney) and Searrs (Victoria) are next with 188. Masefield 185 and Roots 182. Wi hj reference to the Marlborough (New Zealand team), it is explained by officials that some of the team being honorary members, they are ineligible to compete for regular prizes. The execu'.ive therefore decided to give special trophies in the event of the team winning.
