Sorrenson has taken over command of tho auxiliary schooner Houto in place of Captain W. Jennings. Air W. P. Long, third officer of the Komnta, has left that vessel VANCOUVER TRADE. For Vancouver, via Honolulu, the Niagara will sail from Auckland about October 21. SAN FRANCISCO SERVICE. Tho Maratna will he dispatched from Wellington for San Francisco on Wednesday. ISLAND TRADE. The Mokoia is timed to leave Auckland for Suva, Samoa, Vnvau, Huapai and Nukualofa on October 29. OVERSEA SHIPPING. Tho lonic is reported to hnvo left Southampton on October 7 for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. She is due at Lyttelton on November 22. The Port Victor arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon from Liverpool. The Runic is duo here to-day from Brisbane to load frozen meat for London and Liverpool. The Pott Napier should leave Lyttelton on Wednesday for Dunedin. Tho Surrey, from New York, was duo at Auckland on Saturday. . Tho Trewellard is timed to leave Dunedin on Friday for Melbourne.
