Macpherson, Fields Instructor and specialist in lucerne culture, with a. roll-top writing desk-, and ivith a silver fruitstand for'his wife. Mr Maeplierson joined tho Department in January. 1901, as Inspector of Dairies, and ho'is now retiring on superannuation. Tho .presentation was made by Mr F. 8. Pope, Assistant-Director "of . Agriculture, who said that Mr Macpherson had done particularly valuable -work in tho Department, and for tho benefit of the country, filling various positions: ■with, conspicuous ability.
