There was an enjoyable gathering at “ Mostyn,” Halswcll, last evening; when the friends of Miss Dorothy Guiney assembled to wish her-many happy returns on the occasion of her coming of ’ residents of the district, there was a largo attendance of visitors from Christchurch. Guiney and members of their family are held, and to-the' general hope thm they would all enjoy good health, brig life bud prosperity. . Following cheers for Miss Guiney and the singing of "For She’s a Jolly Good -Fellow,” dancing and games, were enjoyed. Deck games and bridge tournaments are in full swing. There is quite a lot of musical talent on board, and we have a good concert every week.
