THE PRICE OF SMOKE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I beg leave, to ventilate a grievance and to make a suggestion. The price of tobaccos at present is out of all reason. Surely this incessant increase in prices will sooner or, later provoke a strike of smokers. 1 suggest that the present is a very opportune time to organise a movement for the prohibition of smoking. "Wo ought' to put a stop to the enormous waste that is going on. Thousands of homes are being impoverished to please the whim of selfish smokers, while the smoke kings and rings are waxing fat. N'ow is the time to strike.—l am, etc., ANTI.
