Jt is understood that Poland, in replying to the United States Note advising that the Polish armies should not advance beyond tho ethnographic bounpointed out that strategic; considerations must govern the extent ot the Polish advance, since it would he extremely clangorous otherwise, especially if an unsatisfactory guarantee were obtained from tho Soviet.,- Poland expressed satisfaction' at the attitude of tho United Slates towards Poland, but declared that Russia had failed to stop at tho ethnographic boundaries in tho advance on Warsaw.
