A Polish communique claims that General Budeny’s army, which has been causing the Poles considerable trouble in Galicia, has been annihilated. Jt is understood that Poland, in replying to the United States Note advising that the Polish armies should not advance beyond tho ethnographic bounpointed out that strategic; considerations must govern the extent ot the Polish advance, since it would he extremely clangorous otherwise, especially if an unsatisfactory guarantee were obtained from tho Soviet.,- Poland expressed satisfaction' at the attitude of tho United Slates towards Poland, but declared that Russia had failed to stop at tho ethnographic boundaries in tho advance on Warsaw.
