AMATEUR DEFINITION. Mr Miller, the Rugby League secretary commenting on tho report of the sub-commit-toe on th» amateur definition, said the three main points scorned to be that each amateur body should control its own affairs, with a federation court of appeal; that amateurs ehould b» allowed five shillings a day expenses; and that! each club uhould be under purely arrmtour control. Mr Richard Coombeo regards the proposal as impracticable, though he sees no reason why amateur and profeflswaal atWetes could not play together tn football, the samo as in cricket and other yahies.
