There now appears to he some likelihood ol tho drain being covered in. PERSONAL. The Mayor, Mr A. D. Ford, will leave at an early date for Australia, where ho intends spending a holiday of two months. Tho ninny friends of Mr G. Forsyth will he sorry to learn that his health has again broken down. DOROTHY ASSEMBLY. The Dorothy Assembly was hold in the Town Hall on Tuesday niglit when about thirty couples danced to music supplied by' Mr W. Bettcll. Mr E. Townsend played an extra., and Mr J lienry was M.C. The Lower Riccarton Boy Scouts will hold a dance on Monday, Decemhel I, in the Town Hall. The proceeds will bo devoted to their annual camp funds. LOYAL WAIMAIRI LODGE. Tho Loyal Waimairi Lodge held its usual fortnightly mooting on Wednesay evening last, the N.GL, Brother 0. R. Green, presiding. The picnic committee reported that arrangements wore well in hand for tho annual picnic, to lie held on December lb near tho train terminus. Tho sick visitors reported that one member was still on theTsick list. A number of the friends of Miss M. Rapps, ft, well known hockey player, assembled-at the residence of her parents, 21, Wainui Street,, on tho, yjecasion. of her .birthday., .Tho Harmqny Orchestra, under tho conductorsjjip of Mr B.
