ISSUE OF THE WRITS, the rolls closed. i writs for tho general elections, uotn European and .Maori, wero issued yesterday, aud the enrolment ol electors therefore ceased at six o’clock last evening The writs fix December 8 for the final day for the receipt of nominations for both European and Maori electorates. Previously it was announced tnat European nominations would close on December 0. The election days arc unaltered, December 16 for Maori elections and December 17 for the European constituencies.
