ELECTION LESSON.

TWO SCHOOL RESULTS. ST ALBANS AND HORNBY. BIRDWOOD AND FOCH. We have received two further results in connection with the Election lesson initiated by the “Star.” They are forwarded by Mr James Sutherland (head master of the St Albans School) and Mr A. C. Bowbyes (head master of the Hornby School). St Albans in the Christchurch North electorate, went strongly for Sir "William Birdwood, and Hornby, in Riccarton, gave Marshal Eoeh a majority. ST ALBANS SCHOOL Christchurch North. The following is the report forwarded by Air Sutherland:— The election resulted in a very decisive win for Birdwood, the voting being;— Allonby , * .31 Birdwood . , . 95 JoflTc . . . I<> Pershing , . . J Children scrutineers were appointed, a. proper ballot box was provided, and tho voting was conducted just ns at a real election. Tho children evinced groat interest in the matter and seemed to understand the help it will be to them in after life. The staff of tho school fed that you have helped them very materially in enabling them to give such a practical lesson to their young charges. Three hearty cheers were given for “Tim Star” and its Editor.— Tours very truly, JAMES SUTHERLAND, Hoad Master. HORNBY SCHOOL. Riccarton. The following is Air’ Bowbyes’s report : I, Alfred C.
