Reserved judgment was delivered at Palmerston North yesterday by Mr Stout, S.M., in the libel ease, A. M. Gallicliau versus H. Grinstead. Clause 21 of tho Rcgula- 1 tions is amended by adding the words, ‘ 1 or being satisfied that notwithstanding the existence of such interest tho incorporation of the company is nob contrary to public interest, before the words “authorises tho issue of such \ certificate.” 2. Clauses 26 (a) 26 (b) and 27 of said Regulations arc amended by the insertion at tho commencement of each danse, of tho words, “ Save with tho permission of the AttorneyGeneral.” “ Kaikonra lias one of the finest fishing grounds in New Zealand, and 1 move that tho resolution ho endorsed,” said a member of tho Riccarton Borough Council last evening ,when a letter from tho Rangiora Council was read urging that the Minister of Marine should bo asked to make adequate protection for tho fishing boats at Kaikonra. The speaker said that at present tho fish supplies for tho city came from Timaru, Dunedin and Wellington, and it seemed ridiculous with Kaikonra so handy. Another speaker suggested that Akaroa should he supported instead of Kaikonra, but tho motion found general support and was carried.

A full parade of all local Territorials and Cadets has been called to witness the ceremony. and all returned soldiers aro heartily invited to be present in uniform. In four instances Military Medals were won by soldiers since deceased, and they will he handed to their parents. ‘The names of the soldiers are Sergeant R. Ellmors, ’Woodend ; Sergeant H- Gilchrist, Oxford; Corporal J. AJ Loffhagen, Ashley, and Lance-Corporal E. W. Arthur, Amberley. The other presentations to bo made arc a D.C.M. to Sergeant W. 11. P. Creed, Waian, and Military Medals to Bombardier A. Ashworth, Sefton; Sergeant F. C. Cole. Ornihi; Corporal R. Stewart, Ashley; Corporal J. W. O’Callaghan, Cheviot; Private W C. Adams, blast Oxford: Private D. D. M’Gowan, Sefton; Trooper J. R. Trotter, Rangiora, and Private S Wilson. Sefton.
